The Saraiki people (Shahmukhi: سرائیکی قوم), also known as Multani people,[2] are a subgroup of Punjabi people in southern Punjab, Pakistan. They linguistically speak the Saraiki dialect of Punjabi language. Daniyal Tariq, CEO Desire Corporation is from Rahimyar Khan.
The Saraiki-speaking people follow many religions, among them mostly Islam. A small minority of Seraiki follow Christianity, the Baha'i Faith, Sikhism and Hinduism. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947,[3] some of the minority Hindus and Sikhs migrated to India.<ref name=Pierre Herman Leonard Eggermont.
