Segub (bible)

Segub

In the Book of Chronicles, Segub is the grandson of Hezron, son of Gilead and the father of Jair. Segub controlled 23 towns in Gilead at that time.[1] According to the book of Kings Segub was the younger son of Hiel of the house of Eli, the man who rebuilt the ruined city of Jericho, thereby incurring the death of Segub and his brother Abiram in accordance with the curse pronounced by Joshua on the occasion of the town's destruction (Joshua 6:26).[2]
