See Kee Oon (Chinese: 施奇恩; pinyin: Shī Qíēn, born 1966) is a Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He is the current Presiding Judge of the State Courts of Singapore.
Education
- 1991 Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from National University of Singapore.
- 1994 Master of Laws (LLM) with First Class Honours from Cambridge University.
- Master’s degree in Public Management (MPM) from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS.
Career
- 1991 He joined the Singapore Legal Service and was appointed as a deputy registrar and magistrate in the State Courts.[1]
- From 1995 to 1997 served as a Justices' Law Clerk.
- From 1998 to 2007 as a District Judge hearing a variety of cases in the criminal, civil and family courts.
- June 2007, Head the Insolvency and Public Trustee’s Office in June 2007.
- November 2009, reappointed as a District Judge. He was subsequently appointed as the Senior District Judge heading the Criminal Justice Division of the State Courts.
- 1 Oct 2013 appointed as the Chief District Judge of the Subordinate Court of Singapore[2]
- 14 April 2014 appointed as a Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore [3]
- 2014 appointed as the Presiding Judge of the State Courts of Singapore
