Secret State Conference
The Secret State Conference (German: Geheime Staatskonferenz) was the de jure advisory body to Ferdinand I of Austria and the de facto ruling body of the Austrian Empire from 1836 to 1848 in the Vormärz Age of Metternich.

Archduke Louis was brother of Francis II, Archduke Karl was brother of Ferdinand I, von Metternich was responsible for foreign policy, and von Kolowrat was responsible for domestic policy and finances. While von Metternich became the symbol of reaction and conservatism, von Kolowrat was considered liberal.
