Second Chances is a Filipino drama series to be broadcast by GMA Network starring Jennylyn Mercado, Camille Prats, Raymart Santiago, and Rafael Rosell. It premiered on January 12, 2015 replacing Hiram na Alaala on the network's GMA Telebabad block, and also aired worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV. The show concluded on May 8, 2015 on its 17-week run with the total of 83 episodes overall it will be replaced by The Rich Man's Daughter on its timeslot.[1]

Plot

Second Chances is a story that will dramatically narrate how an opportunity can change someone's life and will also provide a powerful response to viewers' demand for validation that indeed, we all deserve a second chance.

The story revolves around the reasonable doubts of Lyra and Bernard. Their romantic relationship begins to seeking justice when Jerome who is a karma comes missing after a tragedy in a doubts. Time passes but Lyra still believes that one day her beloved boyfriend is still alive. While she is hoping and waiting, then comes Bernard who is Jerome's past friend and also a karma. He comes back after the tragedies, starts to act strangely saying that he is Jerome insisting Rebecca that he is her boyfriend.

At first Rebecca cannot believe to what Bernard is talking about. Bernard's present girlfriend and even her mother cannot believe either believing that Lyra is moving on. But how they can explain Bernard's unusual behavior who begins to talk and act exactly like Jerome it which makes Rebecca finally believes that Bernard must be Jerome. The fateful meets even more intense when the real Jerome comes back.

Lyra has spent hurting hearts in tragic from the loss of her son and husband to a confrontations, but after reconnecting with friends and meeting new people, she is ready to fall in love again. Lyra finds another chance for love when she meets Bernard, a widower who also has a son - Billy. Lyra plans to marry Bernard and is ready to move past the darkest time of her life.

As Lyra gets her life back together, she also helps her close friend Rebecca recover from drug addiction. Like Lyra, Rebecca has also lost part of her family in a string of tragedies; the death of her revelation, and later, the confession of her other child. Lyra promises Rebecca that they will not stop searching until they find her missing son.

However, before their wedding, Bernard confesses a big secret to Lyra, he says that Billy is really not his biological son. Lyra assures Bernard that the escape would not change anything. Except, Lyra realizes that Billy's birthmark is remarkably similar to Rebecca's description of the one on her missing child, Billy and Rebecca's missing son one and the same person, Lyra give up secrets revealed to have a family by exposing the way out.
