Scott Kingery (born April 29, 1994) is an American baseball infielder in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. He played college baseball for Arizona. He played in the 2006 Little League World Series.
Career
Kingery attended Mountain Pointe High School in Ahwatukee, Phoenix, Arizona.[1] As a senior he hit .485 with eight home runs, 36 runs batted in (RBI) and 12 stolen bases.
Kingery joined the University of Arizona's college baseball team as a walk-on.[2] He played in 41 games as a freshman with 27 starts. In 115 at-bats he hit .261/.374/.357 with 18 RBI. As as sophomore, Kingery started 53 of 54 games, hitting .354/.456/.467 with one home run, 26 RBI and 19 stolen bases. As a junior in 2015, he was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year.[3][4][5]
On June 8, 2015, Kingery was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the second round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft. He later signed with the team and currently plays for the Class A Lakewood Blueclaws.
