Satanis: The Devil's Mass is a 1970 American documentary film about Anton LaVey and the Church of Satan. It was directed and produced by Ray Laurent.[1]

Filmed in San Francisco, California.
Summary
A compilation of ritual magic footage and interviews with LaVey's family, neighbors, and CoS members. Also interviewed are Christian priests and Mormon missionaries.
Marketing
Display ads at theater showings read: "Satanis is the most pertinent, and perhaps the most shocking film of our time. But it’s definitely not a movie for everyone. If you choose not to see it, we will understand.”[2]
Home video
On 17 June 2003, Something Weird Video released Satanis on DVD together with Sinthia, the Devil's Doll (1968, d. Ray Dennis Steckler).
Bonus features included the short films British Black Mass, My Tale Is Hot (1964), and Sex Ritual of the Occult.
Influence
The Church of Satan makes the case, in "The Altars of Satanic Cinema: The Satanism of Hammer Films", that ritual imagery captured in Satanis was adopted in several of the Hammer Films.
