Sarwat Gilani (born September 9, 1982) is a Pakistani film and television actress and a model.[1] She is known for her works including Ishq Gumshuda, Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu and Dil E Muztar.[2] She made her film debut with 2013 Anjum Shahzad's Dil Mera Dharkan Teri.

Early life

Gilani graduated from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Communication in 2004 where she mastered in film-making.[3]

Career

Gilani started her career modeling and later appeared in smaller roles in various drama serials. Here notable roles include Ishq Gumshuda and Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan.[4]

She made her film debut in 2013 with Anjum Shahzad's Dil Mera Dharkan Teri opposite Ahsan Khan and Sanam Saeed.

Personal life

Gilani married actor Fahad Mirza in August 2014.[5][6] She was previously married to Omer Saleem, the brother of television personality Ali Saleem.[6]
