The Santeros de Aguada are a Puerto Rican professional basketball team based in Aguada, that competes in the National Superior Basketball (BSN) league. Their home court is the Ismael Delgado Coliseum.

History

The team was founded in 1992 and played for seven seasons in the 1990s before folding in 1998. Playing in the Cancha All Star, local player Georgie Medrano was one of the most loved players of the time. Eugenio "Geño" Soto, Juan Griles and Jorge Rivera also featured in the Santeros roster. The team was disbanded in 1998 after failing to compete with the then successful franchises at Quebradillas, Isabela, Aguadilla, Mayagüez and San Germán. The team returned to the Baloncesto Superior Nacional for the 2016 season with the relocation of the Maratonistas de Coamo franchise to Aguada, Puerto Rico.[1]
