Sangam Vihar Vidhan Sabha constituency (Hindi: संगम विहार विधानसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is one of the 70 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the National Capital Territory in northern India.

Overview

Present geographical structure of Sangam Vihar constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002.[1]

Sangam Vihar is part of South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency along with nine other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, Bijwasan, Ambedkar Nagar, Chhatarpur, Deoli, Kalkaji, Tughlakabad, Palam, Badarpur and Mehrauli. . Around 1.5 million lived there. There is only one government school for around 5 lakhs people. water supply is mainly through tanker ( Sonia Vihar water work is initiated). There is no government hospital(But there are free dispensaries).

It is in a major part of South Delhi and has large areas of forest and unused land connected on the other side with Haryana borders. But still government interactions in this area is very limited.
