Sananda (magazine)

Sananda (pronounced SHAA-non-DA) is a Bengali fortnightly women's magazine published by Ananda Publishers from Kolkata, India.[1][2] The periodical is usually published on 15th and 30th of every month.

Sananda started on 31 July 1986,[1] and was an immediate success. Its original print run was intended to be 30,000, but the first issue sold 75,000.[3] It was first edited by Aparna Sen.[2] He was succeeded by Madhumita Chattopadhya as editor-in-chief of the magazine in 2005.[2] The same year the magazine started its Oriya edition.[2]
