San Maurizio d'Opaglio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northeast of Turin and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,064 and an area of 8.3 square kilometres (3.2 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of San Maurizio d'Opaglio contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sazza, Pascolo, Lagna, Alpiolo, Opagliolo, Bacchiore, Briallo, Pianelli, Vacchetta, Raveglia, and Niverate.
San Maurizio d'Opaglio borders the following municipalities: Gozzano, Madonna del Sasso, Orta San Giulio, Pella, and Pogno.
