San Filippo del Mela (Sicilian: San Filippu) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 170 kilometres (110 mi) east of Palermo and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of Messina. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,138 and an area of 9.8 square kilometres (3.8 sq mi).[1]

The municipality of San Filippo del Mela contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Olivarella, Cattafi, Corriolo, and Archi.

San Filippo del Mela borders the following municipalities: Merì, Milazzo, Pace del Mela, Santa Lucia del Mela.
