Samuel Louis Gursky (born October 9, 1991) is a Brooklyn, NY Based freelance filmmaker and graduate of the School of Visual Arts for Film Production with a focus in Film Editing, he has done work for The Bamboozle Festival, producing The Gursky Project. He is also the director of Brooklyn Rocksteady.[1][2]

The Gursky Project

The Gursky Project is a Behind the Scenes exploration of the planning of the 2012 Bamboozle Festival and its return to Asbury Park, NJ. The project is shot and edited by Samuel Gursky and is produced by Samuel, along with Festival creator John D. They stopped filming following disagreements about the festival which ultimately ended up with John D. resigning from LiveNation and leaving The Bamboozle festival.

Brooklyn Rocksteady

Brooklyn Rocksteady is a documentary exploring the Ska/Rocksteady scene of New York City between the years of 1981–2011, featuring exclusive interviews and live footage from members of many notable acts such as The Slackers, The Toasters, The Forthrights and more.

The project was funded partially by crowd-sourced funding using the website kickstarter.
