Sameehg Doutie (born May 31, 1989 in Cape Town, Western Cape) is a South African football (soccer) midfielder who plays for Atlético de Kolkata in the Indian Super League[1]

Career

Doutie left Supersport United in the summer of 2015, after neither Supersport United or Bidvest Wits, for whom he was playing for on loan, wanted to extended his contract.[2] In June 2015, Doutie went on trial with Norwegian Tippeligaen side FK Haugesund.[3]

Atlético de Kolkata

On 24 June 2015, it was announced that Sameehg Doutie signed an agreement with Atlético Madrid to play for their feeder club Atlético de Kolkata for the second season of the Indian Super League.[4] The club is the current defending champions, and is managed by former Bolivia and Valencia manager Antonio López Habas. It was also announced that Atlético Madrid will look at his opportunities abroad and further his career abroad once his contract expires with Atlético de Kolkata. He did a brilliant performance against FC Goa with 2 goals and 1 Assist.[5]
