Salem Junction railway station (station code: SA; Tamil:சேலம் சந்திப்பு ரயில் நிலையம்) is a junction railway station situated in Salem and the headquarters of the Salem Railway Division of the Southern Railway Zone in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was one of the top 100 revenue stations in the country, and a major transit point in Southern India.It is a SIX WAYjunction and one of the very few stations connected with both CHENNAI CENTRAL andCHENNAI EGMORE.
