Current Issue
The current issue of Sada e Jauhar covers the theme "Why Prophet?", which emphasizes the need of understanding Muhammad in this burning environment of debates over Freedom of Expression and Hatred.[2]
Abstract of the theme- "Why Prophet?"
The present world has been confronting with the issues of freedom of expression and hatred throughout the boundaries of globe. The efforts to make a particular community as the target point and making furious fear and hate against them have been carried out enthusiastically by mainstream media and the propagandists of power politics. The outcry for the defamation of the symbols of Islam can be seen in the air since the time of splendid orientalist scholarship with the construction of 'us and the other' to the post modern widespread of Islamophobia with 'war on terror'. It was within the orientalist framework that a number of historicist and materialist accounts were given to prove that Muhammad was not an authentic prophet and that his motives were basically political, tribal or economic. In this way the furtherance of fallacy about the incompatibility of Islam with the modernity has well-rooted in the mindset of the people. The academic as well as the common fields of the existing world order extensively promote the toxicity of hatred towards Islam, which always boosted up the feeble against the shackles of oppression as effective vitamin pills and supposed to be maintained a just and best system of life. The proliferation of Islamophobia considered as the dread, hatred and hostility towards Islam and Muslims perpetrated by a series of closed views that imply and attribute negative and derogatory stereotypes and beliefs to Muslims. With these complexities of the contemporary global scenario, this magazine attempt to dispel the mainstream false opinions and assertions of spurious public consciousness on Muhammad, and to draw a veritable picture of him through the exploration of his multifaceted vision and mission.
