Sacramento Jazz Jubilee

The Sacramento Jazz Jubilee is held every May during Memorial Day weekend in Sacramento, California, United States. It is organized and put on by the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society, usually sponsored by Raley's and Bel-Air supermarkets, and features some of the most noted jazz musicians in the world. The 35th annual Jazz Jubilee was held in 2008. The jubilee is touted as the worlds second largest jazz festival and the largest in the US.

The diversity of this festival regularly brings thousands of people from all over the world. It presents a lot of traditional jazz, but also swing, blues, zydeco, barbershop, ragtime and mainstream jazz, along with a number of specialty acts.[1]

The Jubilee features a vast array of performers in Old Sacramento's concert venues as well as dozens of special performances, including a big opening parade, Sunday jazz gospel services, specialty concerts for pianists, banjoists, and programs to honor American servicepeople. Also present at the Jubilee is a wide variety of youth bands from across the United States and Canada.
