Saidul Islam Tutul, commonly known as S.I. Tutul, is a Bangladeshi musician.[1] He is the lead guitarist of the band Dhrubotara.

Musical career

Tutul was originally a founder member of the band LRB.[2] He later founded a band called Face to Face which was later renamed as Dhrubotara in 2005.[3]

In 2005 a noted film maker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki offered S.I. Tutul a movie called Bachelor which was a run away success and brought nationwide fame and acclaimed to the composer. The movie won several awards all over the world, specially the song "Keu Prem Kore" was highlighted and a smash hit in Bangladesh which was tuned, composed and sang by him. Renowned singers like Samina Chowdhury and Asif Akbar won national award for the movie song "Amar majhe nei ekhon ami" which was tune and composed by him. This sweet intelligent is the only musician from band music who own the highest awards nationally and internationally. He made a band called Face to Face (F2F) which was later renamed as Dhrubotara in 2005.

Awards

Tutul won Bangladeshi National Film Award as a best music director for the film Daruchini Dip in 2007 and the best playback singer in 2010. He won an international award in 2006 as a music director for the film Nirontor from International Film Festival in Chennai.[1] And many more awards
