SUNeVision Holdings Limited (Chinese: 新意網集團有限公司) (SEHK: 8008) is an IT company and the technology arm of Sun Hung Kai Properties, one of the largest property developers in Hong Kong. It is engaged in operation of Internet and data services centers and provision of system management services, and the design and installation of satellite master antenna television (SMATV) or communal antenna broadcast distribution (CABD) and security surveillance system.[1]

History

The company was established and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange via Growth Enterprise Market in 2000 with its IPO price of HK$10.38 per share. The international placing and public offer of the shares subscription were 55 and 217 times oversubscribed respectively. It is picking up again since 2008 and is now trading above $2, on the back of the growth of the data center business.

In recent years, in view of the rising demand of internet and network data storage, processing and transfer, the HKSAR Government has advocated strategic development for Hong Kong to become the prime location for data centers in Asia Pacific. Through long-term strategic initiatives such as industrial building conversion, high-tier data center land auctions, and expansion projects, the company has been an active key player in the data center business in Hong Kong.
