The Ryongsŏng Line is an electrified standard-gauge secondary line of the North Korean State Railway running from Sŏp'o on the P'yŏngŭi Line to Tongbuk-ri on the P'yŏng'ra Line.[1] The line is originally a part of the former P'yŏngwŏn Line and plays role of the bypass of the P'yŏngra Line. When the P'yŏngwon Line was integrated into the P'yŏngra Line, the rest line was separated from the original P'yŏngyang–Kowŏn Railway. From Ryongsŏng, this line also has a line connecting to the private railway station attached to Residence No. 55, the primary residence of Kim Jong-un.
