Ryan Terry (born 17 November 1988)[1] is a British fitness model known for winning the Mister International 2010 contest and for being a spokesman and model for the health and fitness company USN. He is also an underwear model for clothing companies such as Calvin Klein[2] and has been a cover model of various magazines.[3]
Early life
Terry was born in india[4] and was very competitive at school as a child; he competed in such sports as Gymnastics, Football, Swimming and Golf as he has described himself to have “collected many trophies and medals over the years”, but Ryan only actually enjoyed fitness training at the gym. He was at a gym one day, at age thirteen, while waiting for his mother to pick him up he gained a revelation of what he wanted to do when he saw the exercising people in the gym. Even so, Terry only started truly training at age 15.[5] Ryan’s described himself as not being a very confident person as a child and joining the gym – as he’d hoped – would address the self-confidence problems he had developed. He quickly lost all these issues when he saw the changes in his body as it became more toned and fit.
Rising career in modelling
Terry started to look for competitions of physical valor and male beauty pageants to face his ultimate fear of stepping on stage[5] at which point he was already a qualified plumber[4] and he came across the Mister International male beauty pageant – which is popular and has been “likened to that of X Factor in the UK” – which he entered and won, thus becoming the first European to win the Mister International Title.
Terry begun to get congratulations globally and started appearing on Indonesian billboards. Ryan describes his two biggest fans as his “mum” and the Princess of Indonesia: Rialto Rhiannon Cartwright.[4]
Terry has since improved his body, becoming a USN Sponsored Ambassador,[6] Mister International 2010 and Mister Great Britain 2010. He has also been in commercials and fitness magazines such as Muscle & Fitness UK.
Terry also became Habia hair stylist model 2010, published a fitness CD,[7] appeared in DFS TV and CSL TV Commercials, appeared in Men’s Health, and in Metro newspaper.[5]
Personal life
Terry's workout plan has been covered by Muscle & Fitness, Men’s Health and his fitness DVD. He also has a diet plan.[8][9]
Terry has described himself as a fan of Rob Riches.[5]
