Ryan Pace (born c. 1977) is the general manager for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He previously worked in the New Orleans Saints' front office for 14 years.

Professional career

After playing for the Eastern Illinois Panthers football team, Pace was hired by the New Orleans Saints in 2001. Six years later, Pace became the director of pro personnel, and in 2013, became the director of player personnel.[1]

In 2015, Pace was offered an interview for the general manager position by the New York Jets, but declined. He was later interviewed by the Chicago Bears for the general manager position on January 7,[1] and was hired the next day.[2] At 37 years of age at the time of his hiring, Pace is the youngest general manager in the NFL.[3]

Personal life

Pace and his wife Stephanie have one daughter, Cardyn.[4] Pace grew up in Flower Mound, Texas which is a suburb of Dallas. He attended Marcus High School in Flower Mound where he was a part of the 1995 state finalist football team.
