Rudrapur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Deoria district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Rudrapur had a population of 28,324. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Rudrapur has an average literacy rate of 52%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 62%, and female literacy is 41%. In Rudrapur, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
History
Rudrapur was the kingdom of Satasi Raj, The satasi Raj fort is still there & lots of people visit every day.Dugdheshwar nath temple(Old Shiv Mandir) is located near rudrapur city.it is one of the oldest temple in deoria district. Miss Kadambri singh is only one nominee of this fort.
