Mohammed Rubel Rana (born 2 April 1983 in Dhaka) is a Bangladeshi swimmer, who specialized in backstroke events.[1] He was one of the five athletes to represent Bangladesh at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and competed for the men's 100 m backstroke. Rana swam in the first heat, finishing in last place and forty-fifth overall, with a time of 1:04.82.[2] He was also the nation's flag bearer at the opening ceremony.[3]
