Roy Contout (born 11 February 1985 in Cayenne) is a French Guianan football (soccer) striker, he currently plays for Mouscron-Péruwelz.

Career

Contout began his career with Beauvais and signed in summer 2004 for FC Metz.[1] After three years and 39 games, who scores one goal signed in summer 2007 for Amiens SC. On 16 July 2009 AJ Auxerre have signed former Amiens SC striker on a free transfer.[2]

Contout was an unpopular signing with the fans, but he proved his worth to the side with a memorable double at high-flying Lille in a 2–1 victory on 28 February 2010. Contout is currently on trial with English Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, where he has expressed his desire to emulate his hero, former Wednesday midfielder Graham Hyde.[3]
