The 3th annual Rostro de México pageant was held at the Teatro "Benito Juárez CREA Cultura", Mexicali, Baja California, México on April 22, 2012. Twelve contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Laura Elisa Álvarez Damian[2] from Yucatán who competed and failed in Miss Grand International 2013 in Thailand. Alvarez was crowned by outgoing Rostro de México, Berenice Santos. She is the first Yucateca to win this title.[3] This is the first time that pageant held because the 1st and 2nd Rostro de Mexico winners, elected via Casting. This year was elected two winners (2012 & 2013).
