Hazel Keech (born 1986/1987[1] as Rose Dawn[2]) is a British−Mauritian model who has appeared in Indian television programs and films. She has appeared in Billa and Bodyguard as well as in a Suzuki advertisement.[3] She danced in the Frankfinn Music remix item number, "Kahin Pe Nigahaen".[4]

Personal life

Keech was born in Essex, England. From her father's side she is of British descent and from her mother's side she is of Mauritian ancestry. Her mother is a Mauritian Hindu of Indian ancestry.[5][6][7] She attended Beal High School in Redbridge.[8] On 12 November 2015, Keech got engaged to Yuvraj Singh.[9]

Career

Keech enrolled in both stage schools and Indian dance academies where she learnt various forms of dance, both Indian classical and western contemporary, along with acting and singing She performed in school musicals as well as amateur plays and continued with the arts through High School. Keech became involved in television, film and stage. She danced in the British programme Agatha Christie's Marple. The BBC documentary show Call The Shots showed her working in Hindi films.[10] She joined the team of the Bollywood musical Bombay Dreams for their London promotional tour in 2002 and sang in the choir of the west-end musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat the following year.[8] She was an extra in several of the Harry Potter films.[6]

At 18, while holidaying in Mumbai, she received work offers and decided to stay back and pursue a modelling and acting career in India.[11] Keech then appeared in various music videos as "Kahin Pe Nigahen" as well as many TV commercials, such as Vivel by ITC, & Sprite 'University of Freshology' commercial.[12] Keech appeared in the 2007 Tamil film Billa, where she performed an item number in the song "Sei Ethavathu".[11] In 2011, she played a supporting role in the Hindi film Bodyguard produced by Atul Agnihotri and directed by Siddique. She has performed an item number titled "Aa Ante Amlapuram" in the film Maximum.[13] She has appeared in the reality television programme Bigg Boss 7.
