Roosevelt Station will be an underground light rail station on the Northgate Link Extension of Sound Transit in the Roosevelt neighborhood in Seattle. It is scheduled to open along with the rest of the North Link project in 2021. Sound Transit estimates that there will be 8,000 daily boardings at the station in 2030.[1]
Location
The Roosevelt Station will be about 90 feet underground, just west of 12th Ave NE between NE 65th and NE 67th Streets. It will have two entrances, with the south entrance at the northwest corner of 12th Ave NE and NE 65th St, across the street from Roosevelt Square, and the north entrance at the southwest corner of 12th & NE 67th St, across from Roosevelt High School. The area north of the south entrance, the entire block north of there, and a small part of the block north of that will be available for transit-oriented development. Both the north entrance and the south entrance will be fully equipped with stairs, escalators, and elevators.[2]
