Rogers Bank is a Canadian Schedule 1 bank. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rogers Communications. Rogers Communications Inc applied to Minister of Finance under Canada's Bank Act for permission to start a bank in summer 2011. The bank carries on business in Canada under the name of Rogers Bank in English and Banque Rogers in French It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rogers Communications. The telecommunications and media company said the initiative is focused primarily on credit card services. The bank primarily deal in credit and mobile payment services. Their license for the bank with mobile payments, called digital wallet was granted in October 2011 and Rogers Communication's capital arm, Rogers Ventures, invested $5 million in a Palo Alto company known as Zoove, as support for Rogers Bank.[1]
