Robert-Ralph Carmichael

Robert-Ralph Carmichael is a Canadian artist who designed the loonie side of the Canadian one dollar coin.

Robert-Ralph lives near the northern town of Echo Bay, Ontario in the scenic Sylvan Valley. The town has recently erected a large loonie statue in honour of Mr. Carmichael along the highway. The Statue has been called "the big loonie" in reference to the neighbouring town Sudbury's "Big Nickel" monument. His work can be seen and purchased at Roses Art Gallery in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.
