Road Rage (Catatonia song)
"Road Rage" is a single that was released by the Welsh band Catatonia in 1998.[1] It reached #5 on the UK Singles Chart. The song features on the Catatonia album International Velvet. In her book Pure Evil, Maureen Harvey claims that the lyrics of the song referred to the murder of her son Lee Harvey by his girlfriend, Tracie Andrews. Andrews had claimed Lee's death was the result of a road rage attack by a stranger. Maureen Harvey states " . . . at least the group's singer Cerys Matthews had the decency to return my call and explain that she hadn't intended to cause any offence. She tried to convince me that the song showed how Tracie had gone crazy and that it didn't actually do her any favours." The connection is not obvious to the casual listener.[2]
