Ridgeway High School is a co-educational, community use, comprehensive school in Noctorum, Birkenhead, on the Wirral Peninsula in England. The school caters for 830 pupils between the ages of 11 and 16, from within the Local Authority (LA) area of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. The school is situated in its own extensive playing fields. The Discovery City Learning Centre, containing the Ridgeway Community Library, adjoins the site, where pupils of Ridgeway high school can attend the library in or out of school for more learning in between break times and also luch times to help all pupils who go to Ridgeway high school achieve a great success in life.
Through out the years Ridgeway high school has also hosted their own bonfire night on the school grounds giving the community the chance to see what Ridgeway high school can offer to the community many members of the community including teachers and pupils come to see this special event on the 5th of November.
Ridgeway high school's community centre also offers the people of the community to have a coffee morning giving the community the chance to meet new people in the sorrow dings of RHS community centre.
In September 2004, Ridgeway was designated as an International Business and Enterprise Specialist College, and in December 2007, was awarded a second specialism in languages. Pupils at the school study one language of their choice for five years and should gain one GCSE in modern foreign language.
In 2014, Ridgeway high school also introduced a new dancing class for all students of Ridgeway high school. So that students can get the opportunity to dance and also learn to dance at the same time. The dancing classes also became highly popular between the students at RHS.
For many years at Ridgeway high school Ridgeway always had a success in the drama and music department having mouthy performances for the family and friends of many students having performances like "ANNIE" "HAIR SPRAY" and also "WE WILL ROCK YOU" and many more all having their own Ridgeway high school twist making the performances more injoyable, funny and exciting for many watching the performances.
Also in September 2017, Ridgeway high school will be opening its doors to its new building in September time in 2017.

-New cutting edge technology in all class rooms.
-New running track and tennis and also football ground on site.
- Newer equipment in all facilities and departments also including newer equipment in the music and drama departments.
Pupils and staff can not wait to see the finished design of Ridgeway high school expanding in facility and departments that suit the students and theachers to taste.

GCSE results
Ridgeway High School's has had its fair share of outstanding GCSE results over the past years but in 2009 GCSE results showed the school gaining its best ever results of 82% of students gained five or more A*-C grades, an increase of over 20% on the previous year.[1]
OFSTED inspection 2010
Following an OFSTED inspection in summer 2010, Ridgeway High School was graded as being an "outstanding" school in all aspects.
