Richard S. "Dick" Lyon (October 23, 1924 – September 23, 1976) was an American football player and coach.
Coaching career
Lyon was the sixth head football coach for the Ithaca Bombers located in Ithaca, New York. He held that position for 9 seasons, from 1958 until 1966. His coaching record at Ithaca was 49 wins and 20 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #3 at Ithaca in total wins and #3 at the school in winning percentage (.710).[3]
