Richard Popplewell

Richard Popplewell LVO (born 18 October 1935) is an English organist and composer who served at the Chapel Royal.[1]

Background

He was born in Halifax, Yorkshire on 18 October 1935. He was educated at Clifton College.

He studied music at the Royal College of Music, and was organ scholar at King's College, Cambridge.

He was professor of Organ at the Royal College of Music.

He was appointed MVO in 1990 and promoted to LVO in 2000.
