Richard Barsam
Richard Meran Barsam (born 1938) is Emeritus Professor of Film Studies at Hunter College and the author of many film studies texts. He was one of the founders of the journal Persistence of Vision and has served on the Executive Council of the Society for Cinema and Media Studies, the Editorial Board of Cinema Journal, and on the Board of Advisers of the History of American Cinema series. Barsam has served as the Provost of the Pratt Institute.[1][2]
Barsam has a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.[1]
