Rich Sullivan (born September 9, 1971) is an Atlanta Radio Announcer and Show Host. Since 2014 he is the host of the popular "Sully Show" on talk radio WGST-AM (640am) Atlanta, GA Monday through Friday Noon to 2pm. He was also known as the radio afternoon host/personality on WZGC-FM (92.9fm). He was the host of the popular Retro In the Metro show, which is focused on 1980s music airing every weekday afternoon at 5:00.
Rich Sullivan moved to Atlanta from his native Boston in February 1994. After taking courses at a broadcasting school, he got his start at WAEC AM 860 in Atlanta.
In December 1995, he began working at WGST 640, a news/talk station, which at the time, had Sean Hannity and Kim Peterson as local personalities. Sullivan's work at WGST included producing the Georgia High School Scoreboard Show which aired Friday nights during the high school football season and aired and several stations around the state on the Georgia News Network. From 1998 until 2002 he was the executive producer for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network while they were airing on 640 WGST
Rich Sullivan has an enormous passion on giving. He loves doing it and teaching the value of it to others. Rich spends a lot of time with charities helping the less fortunate. On of his favorites is The St. Baldrick's Foundation their cause gives him and the recipients much pleasure. In 2012 Sully was the recipient of The Humble Heroes Atlanta Lynn B. Martin Award.
Rich Sullivan on his time on-air has covered the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Thrashers, Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Falcons as a radio reporter. His work on several other stations owned by Clear Channel in the Atlanta market including WKLS 96 Rock and WMAX, a now defunct talk/80s music station. In the summer of 2004, he worked at WMAX. He produced Randy Cross's sports talk show in 2004 and 2005. In May 2005, he was hired by WZGC-FM and began working part-time on the weekends. He was hired full-time for the overnight shift in November 2005. In September 2006, he became the afternoon drive host on WZGC-FM. As of March 2014 Sully returned to WGST and began to host The "Sully Show" a talk show that touched on all topics political and civic relative to gen xers and millennials, two demographics which are usually not catered to on talk radio. Never forgetting where he came from Sully also began to helm some time on WRDA 105.7FM in Atlanta, the local alternative rock station. This move made many local fans happy, reminding them of his time WZGC 92.9FM.
