Rho Telescopii (ρ Tel, ρ Telescopii) is the Bayer designation for a star in the southern constellation of Telescopium.
Rho Telescopii is an F-type main sequence star with an apparent magnitude of around +5.17.[2] It is approximately 185 light years from Earth.[1] The mass of this star is 2.6 ± 0.1 times that of the Sun and it is around 1.5 ± 0.2 million years old. Relative to neighboring stars, it has a peculiar velocity of 17.2 km s−1.[5] It may be a member of the Tucana-Horologium association.[6]
