Renard Island
Renard Island (65°01′34″S 63°46′35″W / 65.02611°S 63.77639°WCoordinates: 65°01′34″S 63°46′35″W / 65.02611°S 63.77639°W) is an island, approximately 1.1 nautical miles (2.0 km) long and 0.85 nautical miles (1.57 km) wide, with Cape Renard at its northern end and separated from False Cape Renard by a channel that appeared following the loss of ice prior to 2001. It was named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee in 2008 in association with Cape Renard.
