Nicolò Arquilla, better known by his stage name Razihel, is an Italian electronic dance music producer, composer,[1] guitarist, singer and former screaming vocalist for the band Hopes Die Last.
History
Early career
Arquilla's musical career started in 2004, when he and a group of teenage friends formed a band named Hopes Die Last in Rome, Italy. In 2009 he left the band with a message on MySpace stating he would return with a new project, and in 2011 he returned with the Razihel alias.[2]
In 2012, Razihel released on Ultra Music with his remix of "Perfect Storm" by Pink Is Punk and Benny Benassi, which was featured on the official remixes for the track. This was followed by another official remix, this time of their track "Ghost". He released several other remixes during this time, including one of Zedd's "Spectrum", Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and Krewella's "Come and Get It" before signing to Canadian record label Monstercat.
Monstercat
Razihel debuted on Monstercat with "Toothless Hawkins (And His Robot Jazz Band)", a track he co-produced with veteran artist Varien. He then released and "One For All, All For One" (which he co-produced with Virtual Riot). This was followed by two solo releases included in Monstercat's fourteenth compilation album Discovery: "Bad Boy" and "Seeking of the Truth" (featuring American singer and actress Taryn Manning). All four of his releases that year went onto receive major success in both views and sales.
In early 2014, Razihel returned to Monstercat with "Renzokuken". He then took another hiatus from the label (though he and Varien released another track together, "Spooky Jack (And His Living Dead Symphony)", during this time) before returning in early August with "Skybreaker".
In 2015, Razihel took a departure from his heavier style and released a Melbourne bounce track on Monstercat called "Children of the Night", followed by two trap tracks, "Legends" and "Titans" (which he co-produced with Aero Chord).
Other ventures
During his time on Monstercat, Razihel continued to independently release several remixes for songs such as "Burn" by Ellie Goulding, and the main theme to the television series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He also released a track with Norwegian producer Savant titled "Light Years", as well as "Fire" on SectionZ Records. In 2015 he released three tracks with The Bloody Beetroots, "Wrong", "Ape's Gun", and " Pizza House Party ", all of which were released on Dim Mak Records.
In 2014, it was announced that Razihel had co-written and produced American recording artist Chris Brown's track "Body Shots", which was released as part of the album X[3][4][5] on RCA Records.[6]
