Ray Mortenson
Ray Mortenson (born 1944, Wilmington, Delaware) is an American artist photographer best known for black-and-white photographs of abandoned buildings in The Bronx taken in the early 1980s, and deserted wasteland photographs taken in the New Jersey Meadowlands. Mortenson has studied numerous small lakes and ponds, the Atlantic Ocean, weeds, and extraordinary rocks. These large-scale prints are rendered with a rare precision by a master of silver printing.[1]
