Rapidfire was a Los Angeles based band that featured Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose (under his real name Bill Bailey) in his first ever studio recording just before he co-founded Hollywood Rose.[1]

Ready to Rumble EP

The band recorded an EP as Rapidfire on May 25, 1983, just 3 days before the band broke up.[2] After several years of legal action by Axl Rose's lawyers preventing the release, Kevin Lawrence released the EP commercially on November 15, 2014.[3][4][5]

Afterburner EP

After Bill Bailey's departure from the band, Rapidfire went on to record a second EP, entitled "Afterburner", which featured Kevin Lawrence on lead vocals. This EP was never officially released, but was sent via email exclusively to fans who wanted to hear it.

Death of Kevin Lawrence

On January 14, 2016, Kevin Lawrence died after suffering two heart attacks brought on by pneumonia. He was 51 years old.[6]
