Rafael Santos Borré Maury (born 15 September 1995) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Deportivo Cali on loan from Atlético Madrid.
Club Career
Borré began his career with Deportivo Cali, and earned himself a name as a prolific goalscorer, which garnered the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs. In August 2015, Borré was seen in the training grounds of Atlético Madrid. He signed for them on 28 August 2015, penning a six-year deal. However, he went back on loan to Deportivo until the end of the Colombian league of 2015.
International Career
Borré was called up to Colombia's under-20 team to take part in the 2015 South American Youth Championship. Colombia would eventually end up as runner-up, earning a spot at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. Borré managed to score two goals at the tournament.
Despite his major role in Deportivo Cali, he was still included in Colombia's 23 man squad for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. This meant that his season at the club would be over.
Senior Team
On 20 March 2015, Colombia coach José Pékerman called him up to the senior squad for friendlies against Bahrain and Kuwait. However, he was an unused substitute in both matches.
