RS Persei is a red supergiant located in the Double Cluster in Perseus, a member of the cluster NGC 884. It is a semiregular variable star, whose brightness varies from magnitude 7.82 to 9.0,[7] over a periods of 4200  ±  1500 days and 245 days.
