Qāriʾ

Qāri' (Arabic: قَارِئ, plural قُرَّأ qurrā; English: "reader") is a person who recites the Qur'an with the proper rules of recitation (tajwid).[1]

Although it is encouraged, a reciter (Qari) does not necessarily have to memorise the Qur'an, just to recite it with proper rules with melodious sound. The following list is a partial list of some notable reciters of the Qur'an:
