Qazaq Air
Qazaq Air (Kazakh: Қазақ Эйр) is a Kazakh airline, a subsidiary company of the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna. Based in Almaty International Airport, created with the purpose to provide regional flights. The main mission of "Qazaq Air" airline – to connect the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and thus to improve their economic development.
History
"Qazaq Air" was officially founded in April 2015 by the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna. The airline was launched in Astana on 6 July 2015 with a flight from Almaty.
The first passenger flight was operated on 27 August 2015, on Almaty-Astana route. It was announced that during first five days of operation more than 900 passengers used airline’s services.
Destinations
Nowadays Qazaq Air operates wide network of flights within Kazakhstan connecting South, North and West of Republic.
Previous routes
Qazaq Air operated Kostanay - Aktobe route during October 2015. Due to low load factor destination was ceased. Airline has plans to reopen destination during Summer navigation 2016.
Fleet
The fleet of the airline consists of three brand-new Bombardier Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft. Aircraft cabin has an all-economy class layout. The advantages of this aircraft type are high standards of safety, improved cost saving, reliability, bright cabin, increased luggage space and lower noise levels, compared to other turboprop aircraft types.
