Pyrimidine analogues are nucleoside analog antimetabolites which mimic the structure of metabolic pyrimidines.
Examples
- 5-Fluorouracil (5FU) which inhibits thymidylate synthase.
- Floxuridine (FUDR)
- Cytarabine (Cytosine arabinoside)
- 6-azauracil (6-AU)
