List of Namma Metro stations

Namma Metro Phase 1 network map

This is the list of stations of the Namma Metro (Kannada: ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೊ Our metro), also known as Bangalore Metro (Kannada: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮೆಟ್ರೊ), a rapid transit system serving the city of Bangalore in India. As of February 2016, there are 25 metro stations in the network. There are 42 stations in total as a part of Phase I, which is to be completed by end of 2016 or early 2017.

Namma Metro is the third rapid transit system in India, after the Kolkata Metro and Delhi Metro. The first section (Purple Line) of the Namma Metro opened on October 20, 2011, between M.G Road and Baiyyapannahalli. The latest section opened is the Magadi Road and Mysore Road Purple Line stretch on November 16, 2015.[1] The system is operated by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).

Each line of the Namma Metro is identified by a specific colour.[2] The system uses rolling stock of standard gauge and has a combination of elevated, underground and at-grade lines. The Metro is open from about 05:00 to 23:00 hours with trains operating at a frequency of 5 to 10 minutes and has an average daily ridership of around 45,000 commuters. The Purple Line connects Mysore Road to the west to Baiyyapannahalli to the east, while the Green Line connects Nagasandra to the north to Puttenahalli to the south.
