Pterothrixidia is a genus of snout moths. It was described by Amsel in 1954. It contains only one species, Pterothrixidia rufella, which is found in France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, the Balkan Peninsula, Ukraine, Russia,[2] Kazakhstan,[3] Turkey and Iran.[1]

The wingspan is about 27–28 mm.[4]
