Technology

Procurify's cloud based procurement software solution helps companies manage their internal procurement process. The solution helps organizations streamline their internal purchasing process while reducing the dependency on paperwork. Procurify is hosted on the Google App Engine and is built using Django. The solution is available as a SaaS at a per user per month cost.

Company history

The company founders are British Columbia Institute of Technology alumni who graduated together in Operations Management in 2011.[1]

The idea for Procurify came from a BCIT class project where the founders Aman Mann - CEO, Eugene Dong - CTO, and Kenneth Loi - COO were randomly placed together to consult a Vancouver based business on their internal processes.

In November 2012, they joined the Growlab Accelerator program.[2] In February 2013, Procurify graduated from Vancouver based incubator program GrowLab.[3] In April 2014, Procurify raised a total of 1.2 Million seed round from venture capitalists Nexus Ventures, BDC and Mark Cuban.[4]

Community initiatives

In Spring of 2014, Procurify created two scholarship programs to foster community involvement in business technology and diversity within technology.[5] CEO, Aman Mann stated that "The supply chain of the future needs to have sustainability and innovation at its core. We are excited to support the community in a way that can spark passion and innovation in youth, and what better way than to offer it to those that show it through execution."

Procurify hosted the first ever Start-up Scrums on June 10, 2014. The event was host to numerous Vancouver companies including Gowlings, Tangoo, and Colliers International.
